These elections super matter in terms of what direction this country goes. And in some places, folks are getting booted off voter registration for missing just one minor election—so you should double-check even if you were registered before.

If you have the spoons, please take a minute to do that and create a little calendar item or reminder for election day. Your vote matters.

Reminder: This is a week away! Now’s the time to figure out how you’ll be getting to the polling place.

If you’re voting absentee or live in a mail-in state, try and get your ballot done and in the mail now, to give it plenty of time to arrive before the day of the election (postmarked dates don’t count!). Remember there should be drop-off locations in mail-in states, if you end up running late.

There are a few weird rumors going around, so don’t let them trip you up. These are the two we know about that may be relevant to our community:

MYTH: Absentee votes aren’t always counted

MYTH: Oregon ballots require two stamps to be sent

Crip the vote, y’all!
